Overview of a Bachelor’s Degree at Arizona State University for International Students

Each degree program requires its seniors to complete what is known as a “capstone experience”. This is an experience that engages you with and within the community to gain real world experience. For international students looking to become difference makers in the world, this could definitely be an attractive aspect to ASU at Lake Havasu. Like all United States colleges and higher education programs, ASU at Lake Havasu has an application that international students need to complete in order to be considered for acceptance. There are a number of different requirements that need to be fulfilled. These requirements include:
- A 3.00 or better GPA average on a 4.00 scale. Please note that some programs may have higher admission requirements.
- Completion of the IELTS or TOEFL with at least the minimum scores of TOEFL iBT 61 of a 6.0 IELTS.
- Application fee of $85.
- Official transcripts from any secondary school, college, university, and/or technical school that you have ever attended. These must include the courses you have taken, grades you received, and any certificates or degrees received. If they are not in English, a certified translation is required.
- ACT and/or SAT scores.
- Completion of the online application. Please note that ASU also accepts the common application, which may make more sense for international students considering sending applications to multiple schools.
As you can see, there are many application requirements for international students that need to be fulfilled in order to be considered for admission at ASU at Lake Havasu.
According to the 2017 Freshmen Profile for Arizona State, the average high school GPA was 3.53, average SAT score was 1216, and the average ACT score was 25. While these numbers are not minimum requirements, they should offer a benchmark to international students who are considering applying to ASU at Lake Havasu.
Like most United States colleges, the tuition at ASU at Lake Havasu is expensive for international students. However, according to the school, 9 in 10 students receive some sort of financial aid, and this may be in the form of international student loans for some students. According to the ASU standard cost of attendance calculator, the average cost per semester for international students is approximately $30,000.00. Keep in mind that this is not only tuition, but housing, school supplies, visa fees, etc. This is the estimated total cost of everything for international students, not only the cost of the education.
